The Community trade mark covers all countries in the EU:

Austria	Belgium	Cyprus	Czech Republic	Denmark
Eire	Estonia	Finland	France	Germany
Greece	Hungary	Italy	Latvia	Lithuania
Luxembourg	Malta	Netherlands	Poland	Portugal
Slovenia	Slovakia	Spain	Sweden	UK

 The cost of filing an application in up to three classes of goods and services inclusive of both Government and our own fees is £1,500. Each additional class filed (over three classes) at the same time inclusive of our fees is £265. The Patent Office charge a handling fee of £40 and a completion of registration fee of £1,500 is payable, which again include the Government fee.

Work carried out on the application after filing is charged at a standard rate of £175 an hour. We are unable to give a precise estimate of the additional work. It is unlikely that any one application will be acceptable in all the countries which it is filed and so it is possible that work over and above the normal will have to be undertaken.

We believe that it is important to cover your trade marks in the countries in which they are currently used, or in which you intend to use the in the future. Many European countries only grant rights in a trade mark by registration of the mark. Use only gives no protection.
